Default Non-breaking spaces in random emails

Hi,

Sorry to register then bombard with questions, but I'll do my best to help on other threads..

Anyway, I've had several users complain that sometimes when they are compiling an email (doesn't seem to matter if they're new or replies), every now and then it won't wrap to the window size - it just stays on one line and goes off the edge of the page.

I've tracked the problem down by viewing the source, that it is putting in non-breaking spaces instead of normal spaces. They're definitely not using the keyboard shortcut (ctrl+shift+space) and I've never heard of a way of toggling nbsp on and off within Outlook. Is there one that they might be inadvertently triggering?

Thanks!
Tom

Are they, perhaps, pasting the problem content into Outlook? If the source content has non-breaking spaces, that will be copied over to Outlook unless Paste Special>Unformatted is used.

Hi,

Frustratingly, no they don't seem to be copying and pasting or doing anything out of the ordinary.

Helpful huh?

Non-breaking spaces can be created in Outlook by pressing the spacebar twice between words. In Outlook 2003, that can cause excessively long lines. Converting the message body to plain text should fix that.
