Default winmail.dat file in a single distribution group - outlook 2010

Hi,

This is my first post here. I hope it is in the right place.

I am attempting to send an email to a group I have set up in outlook and around 8 of the 30 recipients receive a winmail.dat file. I have only heard back about this file from this group. I have a few other groups as well, and no one has ever complained about a winmail.dat file. I would say I send out somewhere near 200-300 emails a week, and to this specific group, once a month. This group is the only one that has problems.

I have made sure my format of message is html and not rtf, but I need html so I am a bit concerned about using plain text.

I have also made sure that each recipient's addressbook entry is set to let Outlook decide the formatting rather than RTF.

Does anyone have any ideas on what to do to fix this?

THanks
