Since I moved my PST file from one computer to another, I can't get Outlook to send/receive messages automatically anymore.

I tried the usual suspects, (thanks to this description and kb328608), specifically:

1. At least one send/receive group contains the correct account and appropriate options are checked.
2. In Options → Mail Setup, the "Send immediately when connected" option is turned on.
3. "Save Replies with Original Message" Option is turned off.
4. It happens all the time, not just under certain conditions or for certain mails. In particular, this happens regardless of the length of the messages waiting to be transmitted (in either direction).
5. I am not using iCloud 2.
6. I am not using a program that accesses PST or data.

I believe in paying forward, and, while I'm new here, already answered two questions from others here, and will continue to do so if someone helps me.

My error - I had forgotten a very obvious cause: I had set Outlook temporarily to work offline.
