can anyone help, i closed my exchange account as no longer needed
and moved to a pop3 account soon afterwards i removed/deleted my exchange account settings and everything has disappeared .. all my history and calender history is it lost or can it be retrieved? ![]() |

Since you have removed the Excahnge settings, the only thing that can remain is your .PST file. Exchange creates a .PST local copy of everything in your mailbox. If you did not remove your profile its possible the .PST will remain on your PC. Computer main Drive (C ![]() If the data is not located in this folder, it may be possible your service provider can provide a backup of your mailbox prior to the down-grade. Good Luck. |

thanks, it looks like i have a local copy .pst and .ost, if fact the .ost is over 3 gb
as i running .pst that could explain this file but i see the see the .ost isn't the .ost the locally stored record of my exchange server? do you know how i can restore these files? rob |

Well the .OST is the cashed version of your Exchange Mailbox and the .PST is the local copy. You can simply import or open the .PST. The .OST cannot be opened unless it is converted to a .PST. There are third party programs that can accomplish this. I would create an offline profile then load the data. Hope this helps. |
