Can I automate printing email attachments?
I have a group of emails that I receive every day reporting on the status of some of our remote systems. Each email has a small text file that contains the status report. so every day I have to open each of these emails and then open the attachment and print it to file away for our audit folks. If this seems inefficient and paper-wasting it is, but it is also government work so it won't change that easily. lol
Being a lazy govt worker, I have created an Outlook rule that detects the emails when they come in (based on sender) and moves them into my DailyReports folder. I am hoping to streamline the printing portion. Of course we have more stringent govt rules to save paper (except what the auditors require) which means I still need to print the reports, but they only want the attachments printed - not the email. If I select all of the emails in the folder and right click, I get a Print option and can specify (via checkbox) to Print Attached file with item. But this is going to get me in trouble because I am not supposed to waste paper by printing the email headers.
Does anyone know if there is an automated way to ONLY print the email attachments for multiple emails at a time?
I appreciate any information that can be provided.
