Default Signature problems

Hello,

A colleague of mine is having problems with her auto signature.

It only occurs when she replies to messages received in rich text format (html and plain text are fine) in that when she hits reply, the reply message box appears and it adds in the signature but automatically adds an extra blank row between every row in the signature and replaces a small picture with an upper case "P".

Any ideas how to stop this happening?

I believe she's using Office XP edition.

Ta,

JT.

Default Signature Fix

You might want to ask your colleague to edit the signature (Advanced Edit) to replace the paragraphs with line breaks. To clarify, a paragraph is used when you hit enter and line break is used when you hit shift + enter.

Replacement instructions
  • at the end of each line of the signature (paragraph) hit delete to remove the paragraph
  • hit shift enter to use a line break
That should fix the problem

The problem with the extra rows being added has been resolved (Thanks Craig!), however the problem with the image at the bottom of the signature being replaced with a "P" hasn't. Any ideas about this?

Default Signature Fix

If you are still having an issue with the image being replaced with a "P".... if it's anything like my singature, the image is actually a font (mine is Webdings), so if someone opens the email who doesn't have that font, it will show up as the corresponding letter.
