Default Outlook 2010, How do I get my Gmail account to "be" my Outlook Data File?

I just set up Outlook 2010 with my gmail IMAP account as the default and only account on outlook. However, there is still the "Outlook Data File" root root default folder and sub folders showing up on my outlook side account pane. Idealy I would like my gmail account to take up all function of that "Outlook Data File" root folder, but I don't know how to do this. All incoming and outgoing email from my gmail account it put in Gmail's own sent/outgoing/trash folders rather than the Outlook Data File folders, so the Outlook Data File folders are essentially useless. I have tried changing my root folder in advanced IMAP options to the [Gmail] folder but that does not eliminate the Outlook Data File. I have tried setting my gmail account to the default data file under the data file tab in account options but Outlook prevents me from actually making it a default. Here is a screencap that will help describe what I am talking about: http://i.imgur.com/r0Gi8.png

Any help on this would be great, thanks!
