can I disable desktop notifications of incoming emails from a specific address?

Hi,

I am not confirm for a specific address but you could do that disable email notification by using Tools Options and then the E-mail Options button > Advanced E-mail Options > uncheck the box next to “Display a New Mail Desktop Alert”.

The opposite to what I said. No need to set a rule for each sender to get a notification.

Moving the mail out of the Inbox by rule will stop notifications from that sender only. I believe this is what the OP wants.
