Question How to archive each month and automatically add the date to end of archive name.

Greetings,

Without confusing anyone. Basically in Outlook 2007 (using wXPpro64-SP2) I know how to archive our email into a folder and specify where it needs to backup.

However, let's say I want to have it auto archive every month. On the last day of the month, I want it to take all our server email messages and compress them into a standard "ARCHIVE" folder. I know how to do that. However, my question is if there is a way or a command that I can add that will perform this archive each month (last day of each month) and include a date.

As an example, on the last day of this month (March 31st, 2009) I would set it up as normal to archive whichever folders I want and set the time when to do it. However, it will write the archive backup as "ARCHIVE" name. That's what I like. But, I want to have it automatically add the month and year to the end of that "ARCHIVE" name.

So, what is hoped for is that at a certain time on the last day of each month while we're sleeping, our server will automatically archive all the email / folders we designate. This automatic process will then write "ARCHIVE" file name to my designated place as a backup. However, I want each archive to be identifiable. Thus, is there a way to set this up to add the month and year to the end of the name. (Example : Archive 03-2009)? Thus, when we do an annual backup, we will have exactly 12 archives that we'll then toss into a folder named, "2009, 2010, etc). Is this even possible?

I have not idea how to explain it beyond that. Sorry if this is confusing. Basically I want each month to auto archive and have an identifiable month and year stamped in the NAME of the archive. Not just in the properties (created on) area.

Thanks in advance for your assistance,
Phipps
