Default Imported pst's and Calendar

Hello,

I imported several pst's covering dates from several years ago to recent. They came from another computer. When I go to the Calendar within Outlook I don't see any calendar entries from the past.

The calendar entries are contained in the pst file itself, I would expect to see all of the calendar entries automatically,

Does anyone know of this? Thanks.

Hi,

According to my experience with outlook : When you importing PST file Contacts than items without a ‘File As’ setting will be displayed first. These records will not display any information in the Record Selection Column. You can try to import contacts from PST file by follow these steps:
  1. Create a PST backup of your existing Outlook profile (possibly before setting up the Connector)
  2. Install the Connector and configure access to the CS server
  3. Use Outlook File Import functionality to import just the calendar folder into outlook from your PST backup. Make sure to choose only the calendar folder when you do this, or you might get unexpected results (or the expected result of duplicated messages and contacts). You may also get a non-critical warning about Unicode. The following steps describe the import process in Outlook:
Outlook application → FileImport and ExportImport from another program or filePersonal Folder File (.pst)choose the pst file > select the Calendar folder in the pst and choose to Import items into the same folder in: the CS profile.

This will import the calendar entries to the local Outlook profile; subsequent sync with the server will propagate the appointments back to the server.
