![]() A user gets “You don’t have appropriate permission to perform this operation” when trying to access e-mail from the POP3 mail server in Outlook 2003. However he can send out, and can view all acquired e-mails just fine. The .pst file is about 3.7 GB and I ran the database repair utility several times. Archiving doesn’t work. When I try to manually move files to the Archive PST file, I cannot compact the original Outlook.PST file. The user has full rights over the directory and the file it’s self. I tried uninstalling Office and doing a reinstall but a new outlook.pst files would not be created. Any help would be most appreciated Thanks |

Any PST over 2GB is very vulnerable to becoming corrupted.
Try splitting the pst into 2 files. The larger the pst the more problems you will have. happily using The Message Center Exchange Hosting |
