Outlook not receiving emails
I have two emails on my laptop. One is fine. The major one won't receive messages. It comes up with a POP server error that says:
Account: 'mlinneweh', Server: 'mail.comcast.net', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR invalid username/password', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92 I've re-entered my username and password several times but I still get the message. I've had this account for years with no problems.

HI,
You may get the following error message: Your UserName was rejected. Account: 'mail.resource24.net', Server: 'pop3.norton.antivirus', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90 Solution This error message is caused by the fact that you have set an anti virus program, in this case Norton AntiVirus, to scan all emails automatically. Changing the settings within Outlook will not solve the issue. You need to go into your Norton Antivirus Control Panel and change the settings there. You may get the following error message: There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your Password was rejected.'pop.resource24.net', Server: 'pop.resource24.net', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR invalid user or password', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92 Solution Check your Outlook setting and make sure that your full username and password are correct. If you are still having problems, it could be that your password has somehow become corrupted. Try changing it in My Account. |

In Outlook when you send/receive emails in Outlook data, you may receive different error messages. There may be different reasons depending upon the types of error in your Outlook. If you're getting the error code: 0x800ccc92, then the reason behind this could be as follows:
If you've incorrectly filled in your username and password. If an account is not correctly configured in Outlook. Due to over-sized PST files. In all of these situation you may go through some specified manual solution and try to perform them by following the manual steps carefully. |
