Default is important data safe in Outlook?

I'm in Outlook quite a lot throughout my day, and i have been storing critical data in my Tasks (convenient place), like bank information, etc... it just occurred to me to ask if this is a safe place on my pc (Win7 64-bit with Avast Int Security - AV and Firewall) from any hacking attempts.

only reason i'm concerned is that Facebook told me the other day that my account had been logged into from someone in Hong Kong, and i changed my password. don't know how this happened, but i had to wonder if there were to be access to my pc, would data in my pst file be easily accessed?

thanks, anyone...

GN

Are you sure that you received this message from facebook? Possible that it is the spam fishing only.

Otherwise you have to change the password for your email account registered with facebook! Do this quickly, and set the strong password.

Outlook .PST file data can be easily accessed even it is password protected. But if you have the antiviral solution, there should not be the problem. Take a look to Outlook add-ins, possible you will find something new there.

I mean that you have to review your Outlook add-ins to see if there any spy. Just in case.

We have been using Codebox Bitmeter to monitor internet traffic.
Sometimes when we boot Outlook 2007 / Outlook connector, we notice a substantial outgoing data bleed, even though we are not sending or receiving E-Mail traffic.
Our interpretation is that this must be some kind of hijack?
We installed MS Network Monitor 3.4 to determine where this data was going and found a few IP addresses which we could not identify.
One IP Address was an Amazon Cloud Storage which we have no knowledge of!
Any ideas how Outlook 2007 on Win7 with Internet Connector might be hijacked?
