Hi,
I have an HP laptop running Windows 7 (32-bit) with Office 2007. It has been running fine all these days when all of a sudden, Outlook 2007 started to hang on startup and chew cpu. It takes about a 60-80 seconds before it returns to normalcy. If i click "New Mail", it again hangs for 30 odd seconds and returns control. I have tried all the tricks and solutions like, 1) Create new profile. 2) Create new PST file and delete old PST file. 3) Disable all addins (including Adobe Acrobat PDF). I am unable to disable Windows Search Plugin. 4) Re-installed Office 2007 twice. 5) Start Outlook in safe mode and re-start in Outlook normal mode. 6) Installed Office 2007 SP3. 7) Disabled Windows Search and Indexing. None of these options helped. What could be the problem? Also, when Outlook hangs, the CPU usage on my dual-core laptop is 50%. Basically, it occupies one CPU with 100% utilization. Almost all other programs just hang and there is no response from other programs too. Kindly help as i am unable to do any work on Outlook 2007. Thanks in advance. Regards, Anan |
