Outlook 2003 Shutting Down HELP
Please provide assistance with this problem. First time User. Outlook 2003 was working, then it started to display a message-Problem caused the program to stop working. The program closed. Had problem previously, but it was resolved. Now it will not let me access Outlook at all. Geek Squad removed and re-installed Outlook 2003 to no avail. I would like to use Outlook. It is also attached to Word 2003 and I can't use Word either. It closes when I try to use it. Can someone give some assistance as to what to do.

Hi Barbara,
Would need some more information on this issue. Are you getting any error message when you open the Outlook? Have you tried deleting the outlook profile and checked if that resolves the issue. If there is any error message then please provide a screenshot of the error. |

Gregory, I apologize but I am a newbie to this type of communication. But I will do my best. I can give you the information in the screen that appears. (Please provide me with info on taking a picture of for you.) Here is the Dialogue box that appears for Outlook and Word. "Microsoft Office Outlook has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the program. CLOSE THE PROGRAM." The entire program grays out and I am not able to access the program for Outlook or Word.

Hey Barbara, just one last question. Are you using MS Office 2003 along with another version of MS Office may be 2007 or 2010 having all the application including outlook for that version.

Hi Barbara,
Try running outlook in safe mode. Press the Ctrl button while double clicking on the outlook icon, this will open it in safe mode. It seems that some addons that are installed for outlook seems to be creating this problem. Try to disable the addons and then try to start the outlook normally.
