Outlook 03: automatic categorize incoming email
I have created several rules to automatically categorize incoming emails based on the sender's email address.
Now I have hundreds of existing emails that I would like to find a way to just click on the email and add it to the category rule. I do not want to go back to the rule set and guess which email goes into which category. Any thoughts? And when I get a new email from a new sender, I would prefer to have a button that I could click and add them to the category (instead of adding them to the address book, then going to the rule wizard and selecting this person into the specific rule. Help. |

An easy way to assign categories to emails is change the current view to group by categories (View >> Arrange By >> Categories) and then drag and drop your emails from group to another. This will automatically assign the categories for you. Hope this helps you out

You should see that the emails are group by categories (assuming you have already assigned some categories to various emails). Then just drag the emails from one group to another. This will automatically assign the category for you.
