Copy view from POP3 to IMAP
I am sure this has been asked and answered, but I have searched and cannot find.
I have a bunch of defined views for my Outlook folders that are in a PST file. I am switching this account to IMAP. I need to have these same views on the IMAP folders, and I cannot get the views to copy. SOME of the time, when I do the "Apply Current View to Other Mail Folders...," the view indeed copies, and it appears as an IMAP folder view option. But then it disappears from the list of possible views for the IMAP folder. Lately, I have done the copy, but the view does not show up for the IMAP folder. Any ideas? I am using Gmail for the IMAP connection. |

Figured out part of it
Well I figured out part of it. When I copy a system defined view, like "Sent To," the view copies to the IMAP folder, but it does not "stick" to the IMAP folder until I go to that folder, click on "Manage Views...," and save there with the same view name.
Now I have a "Sent To" view for both the POP3 folder and the IMAP folder. However, the user defined views simply will not copy from the PST folder to the IMAP folder. |
