Default Signature looses image

In Outlook 2003, I have a signiture setup with a company logo image jpg. If I use outlooks HTML e-mail editor when creating a new e-mail, the image is visible for about 1 minute in the editor then it suddenly dissappears to be replaced by the red cross image placeholder. If I use Word as the e-mail editor, the image is retained in the e-mail, but Word messes up e-mails created with other programs such as dreamweaver.

I haev searched Outlook help, MS website, forums - but cant find an answer to why the image disappears.

I've had a similar problem with simple block text - remedied by simply deleting the entire signature and starting again.

Although it's a pain, try that.

If it continues to bahave in this manner, delete and redo it again, but substitute the image with an alternative of similar format (.jpg .bmp etc), and then again with an image of different format.

Ultimately the problem will be one of three potential issues;

- The image itself is the problem
- The format of the image
- The outlooks signature handling methods

You can find out which by using the above methods, if it's the later, we'll fix it in the next post =)

Ben.
