Ok. Loaded Outlook 2007 into a VM and did some testing. Goal was to attempt to get a shortcut link for a single contact and not just a contact group.

Unsuccessful. Single contacts do not show as selectable options in outlook 2007. This is also the same for Outlook 2010.

The only thing i could see working is naming the group the contact name. This is not recommended because if you have thousands of contacts this will decrease the performance of Outlook if you need a shortcut group for each contact.

If anyone else has a solution please post.
