Default which smartphones mesh best with Outlook? esp. multiple folders

I recently got my first smartphone, a Blackberry, on the understanding that it would work well with Outlook. I've been disappointed on this count so far. My main problem is that the BB (the 8350 Curve, specifically) only allows one folder each for contacts and tasks. I have a few contacts folders and several task folders in Outlook, so this is a problem for me!

In asking around, I've gotten the sense that most, if not al,l smartphones have the same limitation in meshing with Outlook.

Can this really be so, that most or all smartphones have this limitation? Or do some phone support multiple contacts and task folders? Please let me know. And if anyone specifically knows of some way to jimmy the Blackberry 8350 Curve to allow this, that would be the aces of aces. Thanks in advance for any input on this.

I am LOVING the sync (with TWO Exchange accounts) on HTC HD7 (T-Mobile). I get the emails on my phone within 20 seconds (most of the time) when I configure the accounts to receive email "as items arrive"

I should clarify:

1. I'm an individual user - no access to corporate exchange or whatever (not willing to shell out the $$$$ for it, anyway)

2. I don't give a hoot about syncing emails or the calendar. I'm only interested in tasks and contacts folders, and specifically being able to have multiple folders for each.
