Win XP sp3
Office '03 If I think there may be a problem that Outlook '07 will resolve on the referenced machine, how do I go about installing Outlook '07 on that computer so that the install picks up all the settings and pst file of the existent '03? Then if the problem is not resolved, go back to the '03 install (assuming I cannot have two installs--'03 and '07 using the same same pst file just not open at the same time)? Mark |

Your best bet is to back up your email to a pst file. Then install Outlook 2007 and import the pst file. If you need to go back to 03, you will already have the pst file from earlier, so once you remove 07 and install 03, just import the pst file back into Outlook.

So you cannot run the 2 instances of the Outlook with the same pst file but loaded separately?
And to also confirm, since the pst file doesn't save the email account configuration settings, those settings need to be saved by screen shot in advance of the uninstalling '03 and installing '07? Mark Last edited by markg2; 01-15-2012 at 07:48 AM. |

No you cannot run Outlook 2007 and 2003 at the same time.
You will need to reconfigure the account after installing 2007 and before importing the pst file. |
