Default Change personal folder items to 'read"

I have a rule that copies all items from my Sent folder to a personal folder. I turned off the saving of sent email. I did this because the company purges email after a few weeks. Auto archiving is disabled so if I forget to manually archive I lose mail. I would like to have the sent mail arrive in the personal folder as "read" but have been unable to do this. Can someone help please? Thanks.

Smile Outlook rules and alerts

Hi,

In your rule, can't you also add the "and mark it as read" action so that it does not retain the Unread state?
