Default Email not sent(check outlook settings) message

I have a Canon Multifunction Printer. A few months ago the scanner stopped sending emails to outlook. The message was "Email not sent " "Check email settings". After trying every change to Outlook, it ocurred to me yesterday that it was the uac setting which stops the email from the scanner appearing in Outlook. Solution--- click on Control Panel and enter UAC --change the slider switch to "never notify" press OK Further info if you search for UAC and click on Disable user Account control the easy way on Windows 7 or Vista. This change is necessary to get the Canon MP Navigator to work, and probably every other multifunction printer.
