Hyperlinking files on a mapped network drive
Hello,
When I attempt to hyperlink a file from a mapped drive, it takes 2-3 minutes to populate the list of files included in that mapped drive. However, when I try to add a hyperlink from a UNC path everything loads just fine. I think the issue is that Outlook is trying to convert all of the paths of the files in the mapped drive to UNC paths. Is there any way to keep Outlook from doing that? The folder in question has over 4,100 folders and I don't know how many files. Thanks!!! EDIT: I would also like to add that this happens in every Office application and not just Outlook. |
