Centering an image Outlook 2007
Hello,
I am trying to Center an IMAGE in an Outlook 2007 email. I don't remember if it was possible before as I've been a long time user but I know I can do it in Word quite easily. I guess I took it for granted since I thought Outlook used Word as its editor. So is there any way to get this done? Appreciate any help. Thanks

Centering an Image
Hi,
Try this: 1. In your new message, click on the Message tab on the Ribbon. 2. Click on the Center button in the Basic Text group. 3. Click on the Insert tab on the Ribbon. 4. Click on the Picture button in the Illustrations group. 5. Navigate to your image and insert it. I hope that works! Kara http://karathecomputertutor.com |

Centering an Image
Kara,
Well, that worked! I had been working with an image in my clipboard but when I saved it as a JPG file in Paint, insertion was just as you described. Having done that brings up another question. When doing a Print Preview in Paint, the image is in the upper left quadrant of a lot of white space. I want to remove all that space and just have the image remaining since when I insert that picture into Outlook the white space follows, which pushes the image left of center (as in the Print Preview). This is why I was originally doing a paste from my clipboard as there is no extra spacing. Since this is probably outside this forum, I will continue my research. Your help is greatly appreciated and helpful. I haven't needed to work much with images in windows but I guess its time I learned. I also have a new website to add to my library. Thanks for doing it. Take care. Drew |

Have you attempted to 'Crop" the image in pain? Cropping the image should allow you to remove the white area or dead space so only the image remains. Once the cropping has been completed, you will need to re-center the image when placing it back into Outlook.

Centering an Image
SpiderTech,
I did check and crop is grayed out, so not an option. It confused me too. This made me think there was something about an image I just never knew. I figured it would be so simple! Thanks for the reply! Drew |
