That is what I have done - because outlook insists you enter an Smtp server name - but the problem is it still tries to make the connection to the smtp server even though there is nothing to send (seems crazy it has to, especially as the send has supposedly been disabled

It doesn't matter if i input my ISP or the email account smtp server address the result is the same - outlook hangs there not letting you do anything until it has timed out trying to connect to the damn smtp server, which can be more than a minute
