Hi Guys,
Before I start with the problem, the software setup is as follows – User A – Windows XP SP3, Outlook 2007 (all updates applied) User B – Windows XP SP3, Outlook 2003 (all updates applied) PROBLEM I have a user (User A) who has a rather unique issue in Outlook 2007. User A is setup as a full access delegate for User B. User A has some colour categories setup so that they can customise calendar entries on User B’s calendar. For example – HOLIDAY MEETING EXTERNAL MEETING INTERNAL PERSONAL User A can see User B’s calendar but when they right click on an entry in the calendar and go to the colour categories option, the categories are not available to select only default categories are available. I have downloaded and installed all necessary windows and Microsoft updates on both users computers but this has made no difference. I had thought about upgrading User B to Office 2007 but we have two other Users with the same setup as above and yet the problem does not occur for them. Anyone seen something like this before? Any help and advice is very much appreciated ![]() |

Just a quick update -
I have the following setup - Windows XP SP3, Outlook 2010 (all updates applied) I gave full editor access to my calendar to User A and they were able to use their custom colour categories on my calendar entries. Does this help at all? I'm almost at wits end. |

Sorry that you have seen no responses on this scenario. Since reading this issue I have attempted to replicate your issue. However, I do not have a working Outlook 2003 program.
I was able to adjust all of the color modes in Outlook 2007 and 2010 with no issue for both myself and a test delegate. I have also searched to see if this is a limitation with Outlook 2003 or if this option requires office 2003 to function correctly but have not been able to locate documentation to support this. Does user B have office installed? If so what version? Also, Do you and user A have the full office suit? Keep me posted, |

Hi Spider, many thanks for coming back to me on this
![]() Both users have the full office suite installed barring MS Access and Publisher. I myself have the full Office 2010 suite installed again barring MS Access and Publisher. |
