![]() I followed the below configuration and verified these about 20 + times (source: gmail), but I keep getting the outlook 2010 (and also in 2003) password and login pop up box coming up where my login/psw. details are already populated, when I click ok, the error 'your email server rejected login error (0x800CCC92) verify yr username and password ' appears... I had this issue for days now (whereas before my outlook gmail config worked for years with no problems whatsoever and I have made no application or OS changes most recently), the advice of cleaning the CAPTHCA in gmail seemed to work initially but unfortunately the problem is re-appearing Ive never experienced such a nagging issue and there seems nobody out there with a solution, googled for days on this issue but I haven t seen it (yet) I will have to let it go soon because by now bugging me tremendously, a final try i hope any of you can help me!! anybody know, what settings I could influence?? feedback greatly appreciated............ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ gmail POP settings Save Changes when you're done.Configure your client to match the settings below: Incoming Mail (POP3) Server - requires SSL: pop.gmail.com Use SSL: Yes Port: 995 Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server - requires TLS3 or SSL: smtp.gmail.com (use authentication) Use Authentication: Yes Port for TLS/STARTTLS: 587 Port for SSL: 465 Account Name: your full email address (including @gmail.com or @your_domain.com) Email Address: your email address (username@gmail.com or username@your_domain.com) Password: your Gmail password --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

Unfortunately I did not find the cause and corrective action anywhere except blames on Microsoft & Google & their rivalry. Go to edit your Google Account profile and disable 2 Step Verification of Account or generate code for Outllook and use it as a password in outlook. That's it ! Outlook will work in both the cases.
