Default OneNote 2013

I continue using version 2013 because I prefer the layout of having the Personal or Notepane on the left side and the pages on the right side with the notes in the middle.
I just installed version 2013 on my new computer and it is laid out differently. There are only two sections. The place to type notes takes up most of the screen and the files that correspond to the tabs are on the right side. How can I get the back the layout I prefer. Somebody suggested that the layout I want may not belong to ver. 2013 but to Ver 2010 and that I may have changed to that back in 2013 when I replaced OneNote

Anyway, if there is anyway to get that layout back I would greatly appreciate your help in getting it back. Thanks in advance to all who listen and try to help.

You can have that in more recent OneNotes too.
File > Options > Display
…provides the choices you want.

Have a look there in 2013.

Thank you for that push in the right direction. Half the problem is solved. I managed to get the "pages" to show on the Right side of the screen but I didn't see any place to make the "TABS" show up on the Left. The different files are still only shown as tabs at the top and the data I enter takes up the whole screen. Any other suggestion? thank you.

I assume you're talking about 'Sections'. Eg in an Animals notebook, you'd have Sections for Cats, Dogs etc, and Pages for Tigers, Sheepdogs etc.

I don't see any way to have the Section tabs on the left or anywhere other than the default top.

I may be misunderstanding you though, as I'm confused by…

the tabs are on the right side
…in your first post.
