Default Have they recently updated the mac one note interface?

Dear onenoters

My mac OneNote (v16.23) crashed and then reopened and i swear the interface has changed. there is an annoying bar on the left hand side with a search button and another button to choose different notebooks (please see attached)....is this recent?

I swear i did not have this before, i also keep my apps updated so it's not like it should be like me to not notice these things. Is there anyway to get rid of it??...i really preferred the old user interface and search function. It is permanently on the screen with a grey bar on the left hand side. I wish they could stop fiddling around with it.

Thanks in advance
