Onenote windows 10 Massive Ram usage !
Hi, I have been using onenote app for windows p10 for 2 months but now I have big problem that onenote app is consuming more than 3 GB of ram which makes my surface pro 6 laggy , I'm using one notebook containing 3 sections, then each section I just insert pdf files and annotate them by surface pen and sometime record audio files. If anyone know how to deal with this please tell me Thank you! |

Only a guess, as I don't have a Surface, and I use desktop ON rather than the Win10 app.
Each ON Section is a file. Do you have a lot of large PDFs & audios in one particular section, maybe totaling over 1GB? If so, ON might be holding a lot of undo info, especially if you make a lot of changes in succession. Try making a WIP section for your current work, or alternatively move stuff you won't work on soon into other sections. If your 3 sections contain gigabytes of content, then switching between them may load a lot into RAM. Just guessing—I have 13 Notebooks, and most sections have 10 or less pages, so I have no experience of stressing the system. |
