Notebook in OneNote is slow

Out of all my notebooks in Onenote, I have one that is really slow. When trying to scroll through the various notes in this notebook, it is jumpy or hangs. Sometimes it says "Onenote not responding." When I go into the online version of this notebook, it seems fine.

What should I look for to determine what is slowing it down?

I forgot to mention that this notebook is a password protected notebook. Did a search on that, and found this seems to be a widespread problem, which I hope Microsoft can fix in an update. Here is a link to the issue: Password protected

I removed the password, and problem solved. I'm hoping Microsoft fixes the problem so I can password protect this notebook again.
