Default How do I get rid of "levels"?

Hi, all. Can you please help me with a very annoying and long-standing problem with OneNote? As you can see in the attached screenshot, OneNote has put a box around some of my inking and has identified the inked text. The rest of the document is not selected. Unfortunately, I am now unable to treat the text in that box as a drawing objects, which is what I want to do. Is there a way to get rid of that box (without deleting the drawings/drawing text)? Also, I'm unsure how that box was created in the first place--it just "appeared", which was very annoying.
