Checkbox on page title

Is there any way I can see checkboxes on the page titles in the sidebar? See image for where I want to see them:

Sometimes I have a tab with many presentations I need to review and rework, and I'd like to be able to open it and quickly see a checklist of what's still open and what's checked off. If I can add checkboxes at the page title, it would be such a huge help!

Please advise. Any help would be appreciated!

You can add the To-Do tag to a page title and it will be returned in a tag search - but the check box doesn't appear in the page title.
