Hi
I am an newbie I seem to have an issue whereby I don't even see the sane onenote books across different devices, let alone to know if they are synchronised. Here is my setup. A Windows 7 laptop with Office 2010 including OneNote The Windows 7 to OneNote synch program A OneDrive drive using my Office365 personal account An iPad running IoS 9 with the OneNote app using my Office365 personal account I created a small notebook on my Win7 laptop and to keep it easy to see where things were going wrong I created it on my desktop. Only consisted of 3 pages. So I had 3 pages that ended in .one and a file called Open Notebook with a .onetoc2 (table of contents?) The notebook itself is called chrisstuff I right clicked on it, shared it on the web, got the direct link The link includes pointers to onedrive but I cannot actually see this notebook anywhere on my onedrive when I browse it from internet explorer or from the shared folder provided by the windows to onedrive synch program. So where is it? Next thing I did was to manually copy the notebook folder to my onedrive. Now it was on onedrive but not shared, so I shared the root folder and all the files and folders within in it manually from onedrive and invited by email someone (myself actually) At this stage I though I should be able to now open this notebook from the onenote app on my ipad. Start the app, open notebooks - the test notebook doesn't show up. I click on the link that says "open more from onedrive". I can browse to my onedrive, I can see the folder and the pages within the notebook. The icons show a purple N on a page with lines on for each of my pages and then one called Open Notebook (purple N on a page but no lines). I assumed this to be the table of content. If I select it I am presented with the open to Open it - which I do - I then select OneNote from the list of programs but instead of opening the notebook I just get the ability to post this page into quicknote What I "simply" want to be able to do is to have all my notebooks stored on the cloud so I can access it from my laptop and/or my ipad when out and about. I also have a mac and haven't even tried to access it from there yet. Please can someone explain what I am doing wrong, what needs to be copied/linked/sent to where any when. A step by step instruction sheet would be good. Also is there some kind of incompatibility between OneNote built into Office 2010 and the iPad version Many thanks for your time |
