Default I would like to change how the screen is displayed

In previous versions of One Note on my ipad, I was able to make an adjustment and move all the tabs to run down the left side of the screen. The version running now has the tabs going across the top. Is it possible to change this in the current version? I'm not sure which version is running. How do I found out that information? Thanks to anyone who takes the time to help.
