Issue with using OneNote Sections
So I've been using OneNote sections using SharePoint, uploading individual OneNote section files (*.one) instead of creating/using whole Notebooks. We have approx 400 .one files and we don't want them all to open at once, so the use of sections has been great. However, we just ran into an issue where someone got prompted to choose to open a file as a notebook or as a section. When he clicked on Notebook (because it was the default), it made our entire directory a giant Notebook with 400 sections, making it impossible to work with (or very slow) We have fixed it by deleting the Open Notebook file that it created but we're not sure how to prevent this from happening again. No one else I've seen gets prompted to choose "Open as Notebook or as a Section". Any thoughts? |

How is this specific user opening the one note file? It seems that he or she is clicking a .one file in the file explorer. OneNote should be opened by default. It could be that the appropriate reg key for opening files has been disrupted.
