When I sync OneNote on my computer with OneDrive, does it just transfer changes, or the entire file (or page or section) in which changes have been made?
I ask because my internet bill shows a drastic increase in data uploads, and I'm wonderinng if it's caused by the fact that some of my pages in OneNote have a lot of videos. If I make a text change on one of those pages would it just upload the text change on sync'ing, or the entire page? |

Hi,
Synchronization always take place incrementally but not the first time. In other words the first time it has to sync everything after that it only checks the changes that have been made. If you don't use previous version one tip would be to turn off page versioning for your book that is synced on OneDrive. PageVersioning creates a shadow copy if you want to go back to previous versions. You can imagine if you use video this will also be on the previous page versions. For pageversioning look under the tab "History". Maurice |

Thanks, Maurice, for the explanation of syncing, and also about page versioning and shadow copies. I wondered where my disk space was going!
