Default OneNote 2010 - Audio recordings

Hi,

I am new to OneNote and using OneNote 2010 on Windows 7. I am having difficulties taking audio notes, it seems anything past a 40 minute recording leaves me nothing but static when I use the playback. Short note sessions seem to work fine but there has been a couple that have not.

Is this a common issue or something improperly configured?

I have to be honest that i have never recorded more than a couple of minutes of audio. But what do you mean by static? You get a truncated file or something like that.
