Links that work in ON over several devices
I use OneNote on a laptop, two different Surface Pros (2 and 3) some Android devices and an ASUS Windows tablet. So I always have access to it when needed and I do a lot of research notes including links to sources that I need to use in my research.
I will copy and paste a section from a book that I have scanned to a PDF file, after the quote I will put something like -- page 342 (357) -- where the first number is the page in the book and the second is the page in the PDF file (lots of unnumbered pages in the beginning) and then I link it to the PDF file that is uploaded to Dropbox). For reasons of space on the smaller devices the path to my Dropbox folder is different thatn those on my bigger machines. So if I click such a link in a smaller devise it won't open the file it is pointing to. Is there some method of unifying this over the different devices? |

Hmmm i'd say try converting your URL to a tiny url. There ar various programs on the net that will convert your link to a 'shortlink'. Don't know if that will solve it but its worth giving a try.
