Default local document

hi, been trying out oneNote 2013 for PC with the oneDrive and wondered if there's a way to save an actual file rather than web link. Not quite sure how it works and would rather a pyhsical document on my drive. Like how google drive syncs files to the hard drive for offline use. Is that possible with oneNote?
