Default OneNote: Lost Cache

I have a notebook stored on a network drive and earlier today I got a prompt from OneNote saying that the cache for my notebook was corrupt. It gave me the choice to delete the cache or copy the cache. I looked over and and the notebook had the little green check mark indicating that it is synced so I just clicked "Delete Cache" not thinking anything of it. When I went to reopen the notebook from the file in the network drive I found that, not only had it not synced, it hadn't synced in nearly a month. So now every note I've taken in the past month (and there are hundreds of them) seems to be gone.

What happened here and how do I get my notes back??
