Office apps display/borders out of whack
My computer (Dell Inspiron laptop, XP Pro) went into hibernation mode, and when I booted it back up all my Office Professional 7 programs (Word, Excel, PPT, etc.) have changed the way they appear on the screen. For example, the screen for Excel is white with black borders, icons, etc. The only color is the header that shows the name of the current document. Very weird and hard to work with just black (actually a light gray) and white lines, icons, etc. My other programs, browser, etc are okay.
Any ideas for a fix? Thanks! |

I just came to post the same question. I would guess that Microsoft sent us an automatic patch or download that messed things up.
When I open a new document in Word, the page doesn't display the top or bottom margins. The cursor is at the top of the screen, and the page appears to be only 9 inches high, instead of 11". I tried every possible margin option and view option, and nothing changes it. I don't notice anything different about Excel, though - I don't work with it a whole lot. Edited: It looks fine in Print Preview, so the top and bottom margins are there. It also looks fine with any document I created before today. |

Actually, you have a different problem; my problem has to do with everything is in greyscale (either black or white, no colors). Sorry but I can't advise you on your issue - out of my expertise!
