If I can clarify, The sender is just using the standard MS Word program and typing up a report and then saves as a .Doc file.
He then opens the email program, selects the recipients, clicks on the attachment and the Word file is attached and it is sent. I have 2 computers, one uses Vista and Word 2002 and it opens the file without any problem. I just click the attachment and it opens in Word. HOWEVER the other computer is new and has Windows 7 OS and a commercial Office 2010 program considting of Word. Excell etc. When I receive the email on this computer it shows as an attachment but when I click on it to open it comes up saying This is not a document imaging file and I cannot open it. It also opens the Document Imaging program. I feel that somewhere within the 2010 Office program there may be a set up that I am missing. Any help gratefully accepted |
