You must install the most recent version last, so in this case you would have to uninstall Office 2010, install Office 2007, and then reinstall Office 2010. Things you have to think about are discussed in the article at http://www.gmayor.com/Toolbars_in_word_2007.htm, which also explains how to prevent the suites from competing over the file associations.
