Invalid Product Key
One year ago I purchased/downloaded Office Professional Plus 2010 from some site called www.BestDeals.com who said to be Microsoft accredited, & I got it at a great discount. I’m not sure if the same site still exists. Today I got a window prompt to update Office & when I punched in my Office Pro Plus 2010 Product Key it was, “Invalid.” Although I kept record of this Product ID Key in several places, I do not have the original email/receipt from the time I purchased/downloaded Office Pro Plus 2010
2-questions: 1) Beings that I don’t have my Product ID Key & cannot update Office, am I going to encounter problems with using my Office Programs down the road? 2) Although at the time my Product ID Key seemed legit/valid, could I have been scammed purchasing Office through what you might call a third party? Thanks in advance. |

Hi
Sadly you may have been the victim of a scam. Product Keys are valid for the life of the product. You could try contacting Microsoft to see if it was a valid key that you purchased. Hope that helps. Good luck. Tony(OTPM) |
