Question Microsoft Office Client Virtualization Service

This service (CVHSVC.exe) keeps crashing. When it does, so does Word Starter 2010.

Another forum suggested it was the MO 2010 Click to Run software. I removed MO 2010 Click to Run, and when I rebooted it came back. I removed the software via the control panel and rebooted - the whole process - twice. Each time MS said it had to reinstall MS Office when I tried to open Word. And each time it reinstalled Click to Run?!?!?!

Is the bottom line, that I must purchase MSO - i.e. get off the Starter Edition?

I hesitate to do this as I am not sure if the software is the problem, or the laptop has a hardware problem.

(As you know, if I purchase the software and the hardware turns out to be a problem - MS will not allow me to move the license to a replacement PC!)

I am stuck between a rock and a hard place. If the problem is the Starter Ed, then I need to purchase it. If I purchase it and the problem does not resolve, I need a new PC (and will have to buy another MSO license - since they cannot be transferred to a new PC).

HELP

Hi
I have move MSO to new laptops on numerous occassions and have never had a problem with re-activation. I simply ring Micorosft and explain I have moved to a new Laptop and they have allowed activation.
Suggest you contact Microsoft and ask the question.
Hope this helps.
