Office loves to not respond

we are running microsoft office 2007 on windows vista buisness 32 bit edition



lately everything has been coming up ( not responding)
over and over
for eg when i want to print the print window comes up but when i click print the box goes gray and says ( not responding)

sometimes its not just office its adobe pdf viewer as well,
but mostly office programs like word and excel

is there a reason this could be happening so often????

inb4 vista is shithouse, i already know this and it kills me to use it, but work doesnt have 7
