A friend currently has Office 2007 on her Notebook. The O/S on the Notebook is Vista.
Due to compatibility issues with her school (Office 2003 on all systems) she needs to obtain Office 2003. Is this still readily available? Will Office 2003 function under Vista? With Office 2007 already installed on this Notebook, what forseeable issues if any is she likely to run into when installing Office 2003 (assuming no compatibility problems between Vista and Office 2003)? Also, if necessary can there be a parallel installation of Office 2003 and 2007 without any caveats? Thanks - Lyman Last edited by lyman; 09-04-2008 at 07:26 PM. |

Office 2003 should work well on Vista, but your friend doesn't have to get 2003. She can save the file as 2003 format, or even setup as the default save option.
Office 2003 and 2007 can't be installed in the same system. |

You may want to check your 2 versions of Office on the same partition. From all the reading that I've done on this subject 2 versions of Outlook cannot co-exist on the same partition. I think you will find that all the other applications play nicely together however Outlook 2003 was probably uninstalled after Office 2007 was installed. If I'm wrong, please let me know because I've installed them on 2 partitions for that very reason.
