Fonts converting over operating systems
This may be beyond the scope of this forum, but I thought I'd give it a try:
When developing software UI in operating system Windows XP or Windows 7, what fonts work best when converting to Linux system? That is what fonts maintain size and general appearance best? We have product in both systems and need a font to work across the operating systems. Thanks! |

Hi Anirae,
Different operating systems have their own core fonts. For portability, it's probably best to either use your own font and include that with the code, or test for the availability of suitable fonts on the host system. With the latter, you'll find for example that Times, Times New Roman and Times Roman all look pretty much the same, as do Helvetica and Arial.
